@Russell thank you for sharing this modified Eisenhower matrix. Two things resonated with me:

[a] Your 7 is not allowed reminded me of how Net Promoter Score (NPI) works, basically only 8 or above count. Similarly in classes I teach and self-assessments I provide a 1-4 scale where folks can't pick a mid number (your 7) and the bar falls between the 2 & 3.

[b] the modified matrix and your choice of love & need reminded me of an employee feedback scale using attitude & effectiveness that I've found very useful. wrote about it here https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/what-do-you-employee-k-srikrishna/
